My story

This special little girl called Lady Willow,  was said to be 11 years old when we picked her up, but her energy and sharp mind tells us that she is more 8-9 years old.  No vet records were available for her because she was not vetted by her former owner who took his own life months ago and left her without care.   Weighing only 9 pounds, Lady Willow is the sweetest and most gentle spirit of a Dachshund.   The family did not want to continue caring for her and so Critter Cavalry Rescue took over.   She needed everything from the spay (serious if not done) and all shots and heartworm test and microchip, bloodwork done and soon a dental will be performed since that is of great need.  Most Dachshunds need dentals early on in life.  We will make sure that she gets the full vet treatments needed and a thorough dental is the last thing to be done in the next 10 days.  This girl is a dream dog.   Great on a leash, housebroken, pee pad trained, not destructive if left alone, and calm as a cucumber.  She is good with other dogs but doesn't really need one for company.  She is very independent and all she wants is her humans and their love and a warm and welcoming lap.   If you are interested in this little blue/brown eyed beauty please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  She is fostered in Nashville, TN and ready for transport by the first week of September.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 28, 2025, 8:49 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LADY WILLOW, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
