My story

Meet Ruby!Ruby is a playful, affectionate pup who’s quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers. She absolutely loves her toys and has enjoyed making new human and canine friends during her time at the shelter.Ruby is an energetic girl who enjoys going for runs with volunteers and has done very well on neighborhood walks. While she can be strong on leash at times, she’s eager to learn, especially when there`s positive reinforcement involved!Ruby has shown interest in meeting other dogs and may do well with a compatible canine companion. A meet-and-greet is always recommended to ensure a good match.One of Ruby’s most unique features is her striking coat—she has beautiful markings and a condition called vitiligo. It’s purely cosmetic and doesn’t affect her health, though more of her fur may turn white over time.Given her enthusiasm and bouncy nature, Ruby may do best in a home with older children who can enjoy her energy and playfulness.If you’d like to meet Ruby, stop by the shelter between 12–4 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
