My story

Sex: MaleBreed: Terrier xEstimated Date of Birth : 09/30/2023Looking for a new best friend? The kind of dog who doesn’t know a stranger human or canine alike? The kind of dog who will just go with the flow chilling when it’s time to chill, adventuring when you want to go out and playing when it’s time to have fun? Then you have to meet Ozzy! He’s got the scruffy good looks you didn’t know you needed and an easy going nature that takes life in stride. At just under 20lbs he’s the perfect portable size to basically go with you anywhere and keep up with the days activities. He’s one of the coolest dogs we’ve ever met and it’s shocking that people have given him up time and time again. He’s such a great dog we just don’t get it. Ozzy’s story started over a year ago. He’d been picked up as a stray and brought to our local city shelter. His family never came but lucky for him he was adopted. Sadly that adoption didn’t last long. An independent rescuer found him wandering around inside an Office Depot making friends with anyone who showed a bit of interest. She took him back to the shelter and they pulled up his chip. They contacted his family who then surrendered him over the phone stating they couldn’t afford to care for a dog. Ozzy found himself at the shelter again, alone and unwanted. But that didn’t last long and he was adopted a 2nd time. That family returned him after 3 days because he was pestering their cat. A dog who’s been failed time and time again really needs the security of rescue and when one of our fosters said yes Ozzy finally got his chance. We really want Ozzys next adoption to be his last. He’s easy fun and super sweet. He deserves to have a family committed to him for life not just a moment in time. No dog deserves to be bounced around as much as Ozzy has been We’re thankful that he’s so social all that bouncing hasn’t negatively affected him. Ozzy is very dog friendly, crate trained and doing well with his house training. He’s nondestructive and walks great on leash. He doesn’t bark a ton and is easy to redirect when he does bark. He’s about as perfect as a dog can get and deserves to find a family just as amazing as he is. Interested? Just fill out his application and we’ll get you scheduled to meet him in person! If you are interested in adopting a Marley's Mutts please fill out an application at http://marleysmutts.org/adoptionprocess/
