My story

Sadie is an almost 1-year-old Jack Russell/Pitbull mix. She has the face of a Jack Russell, but not the body. She's tall, despite weighing only 38 pounds. She was recently surrendered through no fault of her own, and while she’s still adjusting to all the big changes in her life, she’s already showing us what a kind and loving girl she is. Sadie is very gentle, but reserved when meeting new people. She needs some time to warm up and feel confident, but there isn’t a mean bone in her body. With patience (and a few tasty treats), she’ll begin to show her affectionate, loyal nature, and it’s clear she just wants to be loved. She previously lived with children ages 4, 7, and 9 and was wonderful with them. In a new home with children, she may simply need time to settle in before she’s fully comfortable again. Sadie also gets along well with other dogs and even cats, making her a great fit for many families. On top of her sweet personality, Sadie is also very smart and well-mannered. She knows several commands, is crate-trained, house-trained, and non-destructive. Sadie is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped, so she’s ready to start her new chapter. With a little patience and love, she’ll blossom into the amazing companion she’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a gentle, kind-hearted pup who will reward your love with endless devotion, Sadie is your girl! Apply to adopt Sadie at www.ehrdogs.org.September 1, 2025, 6:37 pm
