My story

Current Location: Leesburg, VA Griffin is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 68 pounds, and he’s the kind of dog who makes you smile just by being around. With his soulful eyes, classic Shepherd eyebrows, and goofy grin, this loyal boy is equal parts gentle teddy bear and playful sidekick. Personality and Temperament Griffin is sweet, goofy, and deeply loyal to his people. He follows his humans from room to room, always wanting to be part of the action. While he can be nervous around new people or young children, he blossoms once he’s had time to decompress, revealing a laid-back, easygoing nature. He’d do best in a home with teens or adults and an adopter who’s experienced and patient enough to give him the space and reassurance he needs at first. Training and Behavior This boy is already potty trained, walks well on a leash, and loves going on long walks to explore new parks. He’s eager to please, thrives on consistency, and is playful without being over the top. Griffin is also a fantastic “guard dog” in the best sense — he’ll politely alert you if someone is outside your door or window, making you feel safe while still being a sweet, goofy companion indoors. Social Life Griffin is wonderful with dogs of all sizes and loves to romp, wrestle, or play with any toy he can get his paws on. His doggy friendships bring out his best side, and he’d be thrilled to have a canine buddy in his new home.
