My story

Meet Honeydew, mama to our Muppet Litter! Honeydew was rescued with her four puppies from an unhoused woman living in Watts, who wanted a better life for them. Honeydew is a 1.5-year-old Pug/Chihuahua mix with soulful eyes, a heart of gold, and the cutest little underbite you’ve ever seen. After a tough start to life, this sweet mama is slowly learning how to feel safe and loved. She’s incredibly cuddly once she trusts you and would happily spend all day snoozing beside her person. Her foster says she’s calm, quiet, and totally devoted—following them around like a little shadow. Honeydew is house-trained, walks politely on leash, and prefers a predictable routine. She’s still decompressing and doesn’t have much interest in toys or playtime yet, but with time, her personality will continue to bloom. Because she’s timid and still gaining confidence, Honeydew would do best in a low-stimulation home—young kids or high-energy dogs might overwhelm her.
