My story

Meet Gambit: the grandmaster of cuteness!Once a cherished companion, Gambit’s world was upended after being surrendered alongside his sibling, Boots, when their owner could no longer care for them. Now he’s patiently plotting his comeback, one paw at a time—and he’s not bluffing when it comes to winning hearts!ABOUT GAMBIT- In foster- Gambit is shy and a little skittish at first, especially around strangers and loud noises.- He was described as calm, polite and sweet by the volunteers before moving into foster.- When he gets nervous, he prefers to hide under a blanket. - He is really warming up to his foster, and now accepts pets. Gambit can get a bit anxious, so approach him slowly and let him get used to your presence before trying to give him love.- With the help of a foster family, Gambit is on a journey to adapt and become more comfortable around people, and he’s making great progress!- Gambit is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.GAMBIT’S IDEAL HOME- Gambit would do well in a calm, quiet environment with a family willing to invest the time, care, and patience to help him adjust comfortably to his new home.- Gambit is good with other cats, but we are unsure about dogs or small children.Gambit waits for a new beginning—one where love and companionship aren’t a strategy, but the endgame. Are you ready to make the next move and welcome Gambit into your heart? If so, fill out an adoption application today! If you have any questions about Gambit or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Gambit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
