My story

Hi, I’m Sedona… and I’m a miracle.  I may only be 2 years old and 31 pounds, but I’ve already lived through more than most dogs ever should. I came from a place where there were over 25 of us, none of us spayed or neutered, and I’ve had at least one litter of puppies. That part of my life is behind me now, and I will never have to raise another unwanted litter again. Instead, it’s finally my turn to be the one who’s cared for and cherished.   When I first came into rescue, I was scared and shut down, unsure if people could really be kind. But with patience and love, I’ve blossomed and I am learning how to smile more every day and be playful and happy.. Now, I melt into my foster mom’s hand when she pets me, and I’ve discovered how much fun it is to play with other dogs or with some fun toys. I’m still a little shy when meeting new people, but once I realize you’re here to love me, my gentle heart opens right up. I’ve learned so many new things already—like using a doggie door! Sometimes I still use a pad inside, but I’m trying my best. At night, I happily curl up in a chair, a soft bed, or sometimes snuggle up with another dog. I’m crate trained, too. Walking on a leash is something I’m still figuring out, but I promise I’ll get there with time, patience, and encouragement.  Everyone tells me I’m a golden girl, not just for my beautiful coat but for my sweet and gentle spirit. All I want is a family who will love me unconditionally, protect me, and give me the safe, happy life I’ve always deserved. I may have started as a miracle, but what I’m really waiting for… is my miracle family. Could it be you?   I’m available through Critter Cavalry Rescue. If you’d like to give me the home I’ve been waiting for, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  I can be transported from Nashville, TN where I am being fostered.  We have the ability to transport northward.  Critter Cavalry Rescue makes it easy.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 26, 2025, 1:38 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SEDONA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
