My story

DOB: March 10, 2023 Boomslang (his foster parents have been calling him Boomers for short) is a smart, friendly and active, handsome medium-haired 2 year old boy with a ton of energy. Boomers has a sensitive digestive system, so his foster parents moved him to a commercial-grade raw food diet which seems to have gotten things under control. He hasn’t taken well to some canned foods and even some gastro intestinal support dry foods he has eaten in foster, so it’s recommended that his adopted be comfortable continuing a raw food diet. Boomers is bonded with his brother Axolotl (Axyl for short), and the two are nearly inseparable - they must be adopted together. Neither is much of a lap cat, but Boomers loves playing fetch, loves getting pets, belly rubs (although he sometimes will bicycle kick your hand if it gets too stimulating), and following you around the house, especially at mealtime, when he’s prone to getting tangled up in your feet. He’s the security blanket for his more nervous and shy brother Axyl, and the two can often be found cuddling together around the house. Boomers has lived in a foster home with two other cats, and he seems to be totally fine dealing with cats who (at least not ones who are overly dominant or overly scared). He loves walking around and giving headbutts to his foster sisters. He’s been friendly with strangers who have visited. He has a pretty voracious appetite and meal time needs to be monitored to make sure he doesn’t gobble down all his food and the steal his brothers. Boomers would love a home with a lot of space where he can run around and play fetch, and an attentive owner who can make sure his dietary needs are met. In exchange, he’ll be a great and entertaining companion. Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $175 per cat, versus our standard fee of $225 per adult cat.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Boomslang, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
