My story

Wendy is a gentle, contemplative orange tabby who came to us as a very young mama. She raised her single kitten, Tinkerbelle, with so much love and even stepped in as a surrogate mom to a tiny orphan named Peter Pan. Wendy adores kittens—she’ll scoop them up, pin them gently, and groom them until they wriggle away. She often cuddles with her foster buddy Tucker and prefers the company of kind, easygoing cats. Timid at first, Wendy blossoms with patience and calm. Once she trusts you, she’ll curl up in your lap for ear scratches and even drools a little when you hit her favorite spot. She’s a laid‑back girl who spends most of her day bird‑watching from the window (her absolute favorite place) and will bat at a feather toy when the mood strikes. Wendy likes having a cozy hideaway to feel safe. She’s okay with brief pick‑ups to move her, but she doesn’t enjoy being held for long. Home life and preferences: - Other cats: Wonderful with kittens and gentle, non‑dominant cats. She was reportedly bullied by bigger/older cats in a previous foster, so a kind feline friend is best. - Dogs: Has met a chihuahua and a corgi; cautious but could do well with a calm, respectful small dog after slow introductions. - Kids: Noise makes her nervous; she hid around children ages 2–10. A quiet, adult home (or possibly older, calm teens) suits her best. - Play and comfort: Feather toys, window perches, soft hidey spots, and quiet companionship are her love language. Health and care: - Spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped - Combo tested FIV/FeLV: negative - Flea treated and dewormed Ideal home: A peaceful, low‑stress home with another friendly cat, no young kids, and a sunny window seat. If you’re looking for a soulful, observant companion who chooses you softly and loves nurturing the little ones, Wendy is your girl.
