My story

Hi!  My name is Susie and I am looking for a forever home.  I was picked up by animal control and taken to a super scary place called a shelter where, after my stray hold was up and no one came looking for me, I ended up on something bad called "the list".  Lucky for me, a small, local rescue came and got me right before the bad thing could happen to us and then contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  I appear to be som type of a wire-haired terrier mix, but whatever I am mixed with, my foster mom says I'm super cute and have a sweet personality to match.  At 22lbs, I'm a great size for just about anywhere and I shouldn't get too much bigger (I am a little on the skinny side which is ok by me 'cause that means I'm getting extra food at mealtimes and treats!).  I'm about 2 years old so I'm past all of that puppy foolishness, and I love getting me some loving, including some belly rubs.  I've gotten along with the other foster dogs I've met and so far haven't encountered the cats so the verdict is out on them.  I have done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any of my bedding; however, I would prefer to be out with you.  I'm not too bad on leash, just pulling a little in my excitement on being out, and I love going on adventures.  If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application!
