Learn more hereThis beautiful shepherd mix is Popeye, 1 year old and 48 pounds of quiet affection and gentle playfulness. He came to the shelter with an injured front leg, but thanks to great care and a loving foster home, he’s now a proud and thriving tripawd.  In his foster home, Popeye has been a calm, sweet, and snuggly companion. He is potty trained, working on crate training, walks beautifully on leash, and loves taking his time on sniffy adventures. At home, his favorite spot is right on top of you on the couch, soaking up all the cuddles he can get. He’s highly treat-motivated and waits patiently for meals. While Popeye can be shy at first, especially around men, he warms up quickly and loves to lean in for pets and brushing once he feels safe. He’s not a fan of cats, but Popeye is friendly when meeting other dogs. He’d thrive as a solo pup or with a well-matched dog friend.
