My story

Hi! My name is Newt and I am an extra-large love bug of a dog who has a heart that matches my size. I came to the shelter as a local stray and am now ready to find a home of my very own. I am a friendly guy who is the perfect mix of playful and chill. I love to run around, chase plush squeaky toys and do the occasional zoomie. But I am also happy to lounge by your side once playtime is over. I get very excited when meeting new people and greet everyone with enthusiastic tail wags. I am very treat motivated and already know the cue for sit and because of my love of treats, there is no end to what I can learn! As I am a long-haired fellow, I am going to need regular brushings to keep me at my best. But that will just be a bonding experience for the two of us. I love getting and giving affection. I would love to cuddle on the couch with my new best friend at the end of a long day. That is if you allow extra-large dogs on your couch!
