My story

Hi, I’m Elsie – a bold little tuxedo explorer with a big personality and an even bigger pounce!I was found in a flooder area in Elsberry after some scary storms, and ever since then, I’ve been learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. I’m a super playful, curious girl who lives for toys – especially the kind I can stalk and pounce on like the fierce little hunter I am. And don’t even get me started on canned food... total obsession.I can be shy and a bit skittish at first – loud noises and sudden movements aren’t really my thing – but I’m getting braver every day and learning that human affection can actually be pretty wonderful. With patience and love, I’m really starting to come out of my shell.What I really need is a home with another young, playful, and confident kitty who can show me the ropes and help me feel safe and comfortable. Because of my more sensitive nature, I’d do best in a calmer home without young kids – older kids or adults who understand how to go slow with me would be perfect.If you’re looking for a spunky little sidekick with tons of personality and potential, I might just be your girl.– Elsie  August 22, 2025, 12:45 pm
