My story

Name: Casey & Cleo Age: 15 years old Gender: Female Breed: DSH Declawed: Yes, front only Litter Box Trained: Yes Adoption Fee Together: $50 Are we good with: Kids: Yes Dogs: Yes Cats: Yes Meet Casey and Cleo! They have been together their whole lives and prefer to stay that way. They are sweet girls who absolutely love attention. Cleo takes more time to come around and prefers to do her own thing until you initiate attention, while Casey loves to cuddle in bed all day. They are both good with other cats and dogs, but Cleo takes a bit more time to come around and will get make angry noises when they're in her face, but do nothing about it. Casey doesn't seem to mind them at all and only grumbles a little if they mess with her too much. Unfortunately, Casey has a heart murmur and a bad dental infection, but due to her heart murmur she cannot get a dental done. Cleo also will need dental attention as well, as she has a mild dental infection. They are on clavamox for antibiotics and will need a home able to take on their vet care. Casey may need to be on and off antibiotics for the rest of her time to keep the infection at bay. We ask that adopters speak with their vet and get their opinion They've been at the ARP since 8/21/25 and are currently located in foster. The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All cats and kittens are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medical to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are feline leukemia tested, and cats at least a year old are also tested for feline immuno virus. Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kittens stay with us is long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination. Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan
