My story

Meet Roscoe! Roscoe is a goofy, intelligent puppy who’s ready for his second chance at life! This sweet boy had a rough start—he lost his family and ended up at HALO with no luck finding them. After getting sick, Roscoe went into a foster home where he’s been learning, growing, and showing just how resilient he really is. In foster, Roscoe has gotten to meet cats! He gets excited to see them but respects their space—and even takes a kitty punch like a champ. He’s also been practicing his manners and has mastered “sit” and walking on a leash (though he loves to switch sides, so keep an eye on those steps!). Because of his tough start, Roscoe can be anxious and doesn’t like being left alone or kenneled for long. He’s slowly working on kennel training again, and with patience and routine, he’ll continue to make progress. The good news? Roscoe rides really well in the car, making him a great travel buddy! Roscoe is still in the learning phase of potty training. He’s had accidents but is improving, especially with potty pads. He also likes to “mark” his scent, but with time and consistency, he’s getting the hang of going outside. This silly pup takes treats very gently, though he can be a bit guarded with long-lasting chews. Bath time isn’t his favorite (he may try to splash his way out!), but he’s getting better with wipes and is comfortable having his paws, ears, and nails handled. Roscoe LOVES toys of all kinds and hasn’t torn any apart to get to the stuffing. (Cat toys, on the other hand… they don’t last too long with him!) Roscoe has been through a lot in his young life, but his goofy spirit and big heart are shining through. He’s looking for a family who will help him keep learning, laugh at his silly antics, and give him all the love he’s been waiting for.
