Xavier – ID 12487 – Kennel 313 Arrived: August 4 Breed: Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier mix (likely based on his adorable, sturdy build) Color: Black and white Neutered male – 5 months old – 40 lb (he’s still growing and could reach 60–70 lb) Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Xavier is a gentle, loving soul with the sweetest heart. He may have never been on a leash before, yet he is eager to walk by your side and soak up your love and attention. Right now, he’s wearing a cone after a recent surgery, which might make him easy to overlook—but those who take the time to see past it will find a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be near you. Xavier dreams of a patient, caring home where he can learn, grow, and blossom into the playful, confident dog he’s meant to be. Every soft nuzzle, tentative tail wag, and shy glance is a quiet plea: “Notice me. Love me. I’ll give you all my heart in return.” This sweet boy may be overlooked now, but imagine the joy he’ll bring when he feels safe, loved, and finally at home. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
