My story

Meet Sam – A True Survivor with a Heart of Gold Sam is a resilient and loving German Shepherd who has already been through more than any dog ever should. When he was first rescued, Sam was in heartbreaking shape — severely neglected, with mange covering much of his body and nails so overgrown they nearly curled into his paw pads. The county shelter who initially received him said it was the worst case of neglected nails they had ever seen. But despite the pain and neglect, Sam’s spirit remained unbroken. Now on the road to recovery, he’s showing everyone just how playful, affectionate, and full of life he really is. Sam loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and is always ready for a good pet. His coat is still growing back, but he’s healing more and more each day with proper care and lots of love. Sam is ready for a fresh start in a forever home that will treat him with the kindness and respect he’s always deserved.
