My story

🐾 Meet Sophie & Sadie — Sweet Sisters Looking for a Forever Home 🐾 Sophie and her sister Sadie came into rescue together after being found as strays on the Colusa Indian Reservation. They were taken to the Colusa Animal Shelter, where they spent two long months — shy, scared, and unsure of the world. They didn’t know how to walk on a leash, were fearful of strangers, and clung to each other for comfort. Fast forward to today, and these girls have blossomed. 🌸 They now walk beautifully on leash, are housebroken, affectionate, and absolutely devoted to their people. They are smart, quick learners who are eager to please — they just want to make you happy. Their gentle, submissive temperaments make them safe and sweet companions. Sophie was even evaluated by UC Davis Veterinary Hospital because she’s a little ā€œover at the hocksā€ in her hind legs. Their specialists confirmed that this is simply the way she was made — she has no physical issues, no pain, and can run like the wind. There’s nothing to be concerned about, and she’s every bit as healthy and active as her sister. Because of everything they’ve been through, Sophie and Sadie are still very bonded. Ideally, we’d love to see them adopted together, but we also know that sometimes siblings thrive when they’re placed separately so they can bond more fully with their people. What matters most is finding them safe, loving homes where they can continue to grow and shine. 🐾 Why You’ll Love Sophie & Sadie Sweet, submissive, safe, and affectionate Housebroken and walk beautifully on leash Smart, quick learners who aim to please Gentle spirits devoted to their people Sophie has been fully evaluated by UC Davis vets — perfectly healthy and active! Ready to be wonderful family companions Ready to Meet Them? Sophie and Sadie are ready for the next chapter of their story — a forever home filled with love and security. šŸ‘‰ To learn more and to apply, please visit www.spgpc.org
