My story

Animal Profile: Wednesday is an approximately 1 year old, 18 lb, female, Terrier mix joining us from Fresno Animal Center in California on Saturday, August 9th. Wednesday was found as stray and brought into the shelter. Shelter staff shared that she was easy to examine and vaccinate despite being a little scared. We will share more about Wednesday as we get to know her in foster care.  Foster Update: Wednesday, AKA "Wendy" as she is known in her foster family, is just about the cutest little terrier trapped inside a dachshund's body. Don't let those scruffy ears and short legs fool you, this girl enjoys her longer walks and outdoor adventures. She has been enjoying her 3 mile daily walks, and the regular exercise/room to run in the yard has been great for getting some of that energy out. With some regular exercise, Wendy relaxes well in her home and her foster family has been working with her on her crate training. Wendy has great leash manners, though she will get distracted if a squirrel runs by. She hasn't shown much interest in toys yet, but that may just take some time. She is extremely affectionate, sweet as can be, and very eager to learn & please.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration.
