My story

A volunteer writes:Pixel, in a very short time, has gathered among volunteers a number of fans who make sure that he has enough toys and cushy bedding our senior cats relish and so deserve. Pixel was found roaming an apartment building  and brought to the Manhattan Care Center by a caring tenant. He was very wary when he first arrived at the shelter and was not too keen about interacting with us.  He is a smart and gentle soul and quickly realized we wanted the best for him. Pixel is really a sweetheart who loves company and melts with petting that he never seems to have enough of. I like the way he rolls on his side  or sits at his door, legs dangling, waiting for caresses...He enjoys soft treats and tasty pates(he has senior teeth and is only fed wet food) but his main focus is being with people, love and be loved. He is really a feel good cat! Pixel needs a home sweet home.. He is already neutered and could go home today. We need you, seniors lovers! Pixel needs you! He has still a number of good years in front of him to give and receive love!What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children.I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I am a shy, timid, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!I am a cat that is in need of a lap!
