My story

Now’s the perfect time to adopt! I’m one of the lucky pets featured in Clear the Shelters 2025! My adoption fee is reduced by $50 through September 15! Current Location: Springfield, VA Meet Tilly Tilly is a confident, high-energy pup with a zest for life and a sparkle in her eyes that’s impossible to resist. Recently spayed and recovering from a possible UTI, she hasn’t even shown her top gear yet - but trust us, there’s plenty of zoom power under the hood. Energy and Personality Tilly is the life of the party. She’s full of energy, brimming with confidence, and loves people and dogs alike. Puppish and playful, she’s curious about the world and eager to be part of everything happening around her. She thrives on activity, mental challenges, and structured outlets for her energy. Training and Behavior Leash walking? Let’s just say she’s more helicopter than hiker at the moment, but she’s learning quickly. With praise and treats as motivation, she’s already working on sit, down, wait, off, and leave it, and she’ll master them before heading to her forever home. Tilly is crate trained, quiet in her crate, and smart as a whip - smart enough that she needs an experienced owner to keep her from running the show. Social Life Tilly adores meeting new people and dogs, making her a strong candidate for a second-dog household. She jumps and mouths occasionally, but both are correctable behaviors she’s already improving on. With the right family, kids are an option, especially if they’re prepared for her lively, interactive style. Special Traits Her personality is as big as her energy. She has a natural sparkle, the kind of pup who makes you laugh, keeps you on your toes, and fills your home with joy. She’s not an apartment dog, but with a fenced yard or active lifestyle, she’ll shine. She’s also a great candidate for e-collar and off-leash training in the right hands. Best Home Fit Tilly is perfect for an active household with an experienced dog owner who’s ready to guide her brilliance, channel her energy, and enjoy the rewards of a smart, enthusiastic partner. She’s the type of dog who will rule the house if allowed - but with leadership, she’ll be your best friend and adventure buddy. Veterinary Care Tilly has visited the veterinarian for a health certificate. She is up to date on vaccinations for her age, spayed, microchipped, on heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and has received worm and parasite treatments.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tilly , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
