My story

Emma is a nine-year-old, 73-pound Lab/Pyrenees mix that was given up by her owner when the wife gave the husband the ultimatum of Emma or her. We think Emma got the better end of the deal. She was adopted a year ago and is being returned due to the owner’s declining health. They say she is absolutely delightful! She’s excellent with kids and is cat-neutral. She’s very treat-motivated and takes them gently. She is crate trained, but she prefers the sofa or her dog bed. She is housebroken and whines to go out, though she was quick to figure out the dog door and now takes herself outside to potty. Emma isn’t interested in toys or chasing a ball, but she loves her walks and is a dream on the leash. While she would do best in a home without stairs, her low energy and easy-going temperament make her a versatile pet who would fit nicely into just about any situation - a first-time dog owner, a companion for retirees, or a family with children. If you are interested in fostering to adopt Emma, please go to www.atlantalabrescue.com and apply. ##2140075##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Emma, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
