My story

Meet Caroline - This friendly and gorgeous Mama cat had been a well fed backyard kitty, but was taken into foster care with her four kittens due to the unusually cold weather in Texas.  She immediately embraced the life of a pampered indoor cat.  She took amazing care of her adorable babies while being super interested in her new human family.  Once her kittens were older, and more independent, she would crawl into a warm lap for pets while purring the whole time.  She enjoyed playing with her babies, and may enjoy a feline companion in her hew home, but is also content to be a lap cat and enjoy a spot in the sun.  Caroline is Heartworm positive, and is currently asymptomatic. She does have a slightly elevated breathing pattern, more commonly noted when excited. No coughing, choking, gagging, or other breathing issues noted. We highly recommend her adopter establish relationship with primary care veterinarian immediately after adoption to ensure her future health. Caroline should be retested for Heartworm in 6 months.
