My story

Wag, sit, wag..., oh, my, those puppy eyes — it’s Jax! Jax is all puppy — playful, curious, and learning every day. Like any young dog, he'll need continued training, socialization, and plenty of daily exercise as he grows. His foster reports: “Jax is a very loyal, sweet, and mellow hound who loves to greet you as politely as possible: with a sit! Jax is basically potty trained, great with kids, and rides well in the car. He’d make a ideal family companion!" Jax is looking for large-breed experienced adopters who will be able to provide lots of daily physical exercise (not a walk around the block.) Please be home every 3 or so hours at this stage of Jax’s development; if this isn’t something you can do, please consider adopting an older dog. If you’re ready for the fun (and the work!) of raising a puppy, and can commit to a lifetime of care, please fill out a questionnaire and a volunteer will be in touch. Estimated adult weight: 70+ pounds.
