My story

On 8/25/25 Kayla attended playgroup. She was tense with introductions, but mostly kept to herself and avoided the other dogs Meet Kayla! 🐾 Kayla is easy to leash and enjoys calm walks. She’s quiet with a moderate energy level, knows sit, and is independent and aloof. Kayla may be kennel trained and would do well in a home that appreciates a sweet, self-sufficient companion. 💛 From a staff member 8/24/25: I took Kayla outside today. She had a friendly demeanor in the kennel with a wagging tail and loose body posture. She was easy to leash and walked well. In the yard, she tended to be independent and roam around. She was kind of hesitant when I went to pet her. She seemed interested but unsure of the dog in the other yard. Kayla was part of play group on 8/6/21 playgroup. She mostly kept to herself and preferred the handlers over the dogs; she does not like dogs in her face Kayla was part of playgroup on 8/15/21. She was friendly, opened up but still not sure at some things Kayla was part of a small play group on 8/21/21. She was stiff when first entering the yard, but then broke out into the zoomies. She was friendly with her initial interactions with the two other dogs in the yard, then began to initiate play with the other female. She has a push and pull play style and seemed to be herding the other dog. The male in the yard intervened a few times and she seemed to take his mild corrections well.
