My story

Hi! I’m Hunter, and I’m a sweet, independent guy who loves my chew toys and lounging around. I enjoy being cuddled and my soft golden eyes will melt your heart when I look at you. I love being outside. Sometimes, I’ll explore the yard and other times, I’ll just lie at your feet with a stick or a leaf while you are sitting with me. I’m curious but a little cautious of new things, but I warm up quickly and like to explore. I’ve made friends with the resident dog here and enjoy playing chase, but not as much as my brother. I am content just watching and enjoying the grass on my belly. I also enjoy lounging in my crate and sleeping; I’m not much of a barker and can be content on my own. I’m learning where to potty but do still need some help with that. With regular potty breaks outside I’m doing well. I sleep all night in my crate and and am doing better about not “going” in it through the night. I’m also learning sit and am very food motivated. Because I’m a puppy, I’m still learning that human hands aren’t chew toys. I promise I’m working on this, but older children who understand puppy teeth and can help me learn not to bite would be ideal. I have played with the neighbor kiddos and do well with them.
