My story

Poke – A Quiet Kitten Learning to Explore the WorldPoke is a 3-month-old kitten who is just beginning to discover what it means to be a playful, curious cat. After arriving at CAA with an injury, she spent much of her early life on kennel rest. Because of this, she is still learning to trust people and adjust to new experiences.Now that she has been cleared for activity, Poke has started to enjoy playtime and has shown a strong interest in toys and interaction. She especially enjoys playing with her foster brother and would likely do well in a home with another gentle cat.Poke is litter box trained and eats both dry and wet kitten food without any issues. She is still shy with people and may hiss or growl when she feels unsure or overwhelmed, but she is not aggressive. With time, she accepts gentle handling and continues to make progress in her foster home.Poke would do best in a calm, patient environment where she can continue to grow more confident at her own pace. She is a quiet companion with the potential to become a loving and playful part of the home.Poke is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
