My story

Meet Marcel- the little warrior! 🗡️🛡️ Marcel was found starving, emaciated, and near death in a Modesto neighborhood. A concerned resident spotted him and reached out. Thanks to our volunteer's quick action, Marcel was rescued and rushed into a loving foster home. At just 1.3 pounds—despite being at least 2 months old—he was severely anemic from malnutrition and fleas. With round-the-clock care, high-calorie meals, and gentle nurturing from his foster parents, Marcel has steadily gained strength and weight. True to his name, which means “little warrior,” he’s shown incredible resilience, courage, and a strong will to thrive despite the hardships he faced early in life. Now healthy, happy, and full of love, Marcel is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate kitten. He adores cuddling with his humans, playing with wand toys, and curling up for quiet snuggles and purrs. Marcel has been flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Marcel will be neutered and vaccinated soon and then he will be ready to go to his forever home, where he can continue to grow and shine as the amazing little warrior he is.
