My story

Snickers earned her name because of that beautiful coat and those chocolate brown eyes. Not to mention, she is as sweet as her name implies. Snickers is 2 years old and weighs only 40-45 lbs with the cutest ears and curliest tail that wags a mile a minute when she sees her favorite person. She is an absolute sweetheart who brings a little ray of sunshine every time you walk through the door and is your shadow no matter where you go. She may be shy at first but she warms up very quickly and bonds fast with her favorite person. She's definitely the type of dog who has her favorite human and then her "spare human" when her favorite is away. She is spunky yet easy going. LOVES walks and fetch but has an off switch and can easily lounge around the house for hours on end without complaint. She loves squeaky toys and will entertain herself or wait eagerly for you to throw it. She enjoys neighborhood walks and does not pull and is non-reactive towards other dogs or people. She happily trots along your side. She does, however, take the phrase "stop and smell the roses" very seriously. She loves to stop and make sure every blade of grass and flower petal and lamp post has been smelled thoroughly. Then she continues walking along! She loves attention from you and she rarely, if ever, barks. She would be fabulous for someone who either works from home or has to go to work and wants to know their house will be intact when they come home. She will lay under your desk until you get up, not a peep to be heard. Or, if you leave for the afternoon, whether for work or errands, she will find a cozy spot in her crate and celebrate your arrival when you come home. She's a very easy going dog and perfect for a person just looking for the pitter patter sound of dog paws through the house again. She is great with other dogs and can either be in a home with another dog or as a solo dog. She is perfectly content with kitty cats. Thats not to say she is best friends with cats but she has no desire to chase them, stare at them, nor cuddle them. She just minds their space and likes when they mind hers too. She would do best in a home without young kids. She doesnt have a mean bone in her body but their fast and sudden movements along with that kind of energy would make her unhappy. She is leash trained, rides well in the car, crate trained but does amazing free-range in the house as well, and is doing fabulous on potty training. This little gal is pretty darn perfect and we know she will win the heart of someone special. She just needs a moment of your patience to show that she will melt into your lap like chocolate.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Snickers, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
