My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Betty the bulldog is a beautiful girl. Betty is currently with our rescue partner in south NJ and needs a foster or adopter. Betty was taken in by our rescue partner after living in not so good conditions for the first several years of her life. She was mostly kept in a crate and not treated well. Betty can be timid around new people because of this but she warms up quickly especially with a little love and attention.  Betty is dog and cat friendly! She is sometimes the referee if the dogs are playing too rough. Betty loves to be outside but also has a little bit of a history eating grass and other items outside so she has to be watched closely. Also, because she has the shortened face/nose, it seems like she chokes a little more easily than other dogs, especially when trying to play with/eat "fun" items like grass. She will need close supervision and/or training not to eat weird things off the ground. Betty is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. She had two operations on her eyes but she still has some discharge so they need to be cleaned daily (common for bulldogs).  Her adoption fee is $450.    Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.
