Name:   Roman        Best Guess for Breed:  Shepherd/Retriever  Best Guess for Age:   7 mo as of August 2025          SEX:   male   Approximate Weight:  30 lbs as of 8/17/25 - he is still growing!   Gets Along With: Other dogs!We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  SC-area shelter -- Roman needs a foster or forever home to come up to the DC area!    Roman is Looking For: Roman isn’t just a name, it’s a way of life — this adventurous pup is ready to roam right into your heart! He's a gentle, loyal soul with a brave spirit, always eager for belly rubs, treats, and a soft spot on the couch.   What’s Roman looking for? A forever family to write his next chapter with. Whether it's long walks, afternoons at the dog park, or epic cuddle sessions, Roman is all in. He's done wandering — now he's searching for Rome sweet home.   What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this section once Roman has spent some time with his foster! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
