My story

If you’ve been searching for a dog who looks like he could pick up an alien radio signal with his ears and thinks “personal space” is a myth, your search is over. Leonard is a one-year-old mixed breed who weighs about 30 pounds. He may look like pure chaos at first glance—but don’t be fooled. His foster says he’s actually a moderate-energy guy who just wants his daily walk, some yard zoomies, and then a good cuddle session right in your lap (whether you invited him or not). Leonard is friendly, fun, and loves everyone he meets—especially kids! He’s a toy enthusiast, a professional dog-playmate, and the proud owner of a bark that’s about three sizes too big for his body. While he was reported to be nervous around big dogs, he’s currently living with a German Shepherd and happily plays with him every day. He hasn’t been tested with cats. This smart boy is both crate and house trained. He loves the outdoors and can spend ages chasing after balls, leaves, or even the occasional bird, so a fenced yard would be ideal for him. If you’re looking for a hilarious, lovable, slightly quirky shadow who doubles as free Wi-Fi, Leonard’s your guy. His adoption fee is $300  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
