Meet Jilk – A Diamond in the Rough 🖤 Jilk is a young pup with a big heart and a story that deserves a fresh start. Surrendered by his previous owner after a difficult situation, Jilk has been given the time and space he needed to decompress—and he's showing us just how much potential he truly has. Once unsure and reactive, Jilk has made steady progress with our staff. He now enjoys playing fetch, and he’s a smart cookie who already knows how to sit and shake. With the right guidance and a little patience, we know he'll continue to thrive. Jilk has previously lived with other dogs, cats, and children, though his former owner mentioned he may show some food or toy guarding. Because of this, he’ll do best with an experienced adopter who understands dog body language and can help him feel safe and secure while continuing to work on his boundaries. Jilk is not the kind of dog who’s going to be perfect on day one—but he’s making real progress every day, and in the right home, he’ll be a loyal, loving companion for life. Jilk isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for someone who believes in second chances. If you're that someone, he’s ready to meet you.
