My story

Belle / Spayed Female / 8 Years / 35lbs / Northern Mix / Dogs: Calm dogs / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes / Location: Pickering Belle first came to us during the wildfire evacuations, a sweet senior soul who had already faced more than her share of challenges. At about 8 years old and 35 lbs, she’s the perfect mix of gentle spirit and playful energy. When Belle arrived, she had mammary lumps that were removed. Later, when another appeared, we made the decision to remove all of her mammary tissue to give her the best chance at a healthy, happy future. Since then, she’s been thriving and feeling fabulous! While Belle has had some applications, they either weren’t the right fit for her or the adopters ultimately chose not to move forward, and we can’t understand why. She’s such a wonderful girl with so much love and life left to give. Belle may be a senior, but she’s still playful and loves her walks. She’s also a world class snuggler who can never get enough belly rubs, ear scratches, or cozy time on the couch. Smart, gentle, food motivated, and eager to please, she’s living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Belle would be happiest in a calmer home where she can soak up all the love while still enjoying her daily outings. She’s great with respectful dogs, good with cats, and kind with kids. She’s spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has had a dental cleaning, she’s ready for her forever family. She’s currently being fostered in Pickering. Senior dogs like Belle deserve just as much love as the young pups. Could you be the one to give Belle the retirement she truly deserves? https://forms.gle/KKccQvugz3ErMDHs6

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Belle, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
