My story

Boomer is a 1 year 9-month-old, 50-pound mixed breed pup who has already shown incredible resilience. When he was found, he was emaciated—but with care, patience, and plenty of love, he has blossomed into a healthy, happy boy who is ready for his forever home.Boomer is a total sweetheart and absolutely fantastic with other dogs. He is playful, friendly, and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy. He is also good with kids, making him a wonderful family companion. His interaction with cats is unknown. This athletic boy loves to move and is full of energy—so much so that he can easily scale a fence! Because of this, Boomer will need a secure home with at least a 6-foot privacy fence or a commitment to always keeping him on leash. His leash training is in progress, but he is making steady progress with consistency and practice. He is also learning the ropes of house and crate training. Boomer has been through so much, but he is ready to leave his rough start behind. If you are looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion who will reward you with endless love, Boomer may be the perfect addition to your family.* Please keep in mind when considering adoption, dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust significantly better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Boomer is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.August 24, 2025, 8:54 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Boomer, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
