My story

Jissie’s world has fallen apart. For twelve years, this orange-and-white senior gentleman knew nothing but love, safety, and the comfort of his person. Born in April 2013, Jissie spent his life as part of a family, sharing his days with other cats and his nights curled up in the warmth of his beloved owner’s home. But then, tragedy struck. The person he depended on — the one who promised him forever — passed away. Overnight, Jissie lost everything he knew. At an age when most cats should be enjoying the peace of their golden years, Jissie now finds himself confused and grieving. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, and trying his best to be brave — but the truth is, his heart is broken. Meeting new people at this stage in life isn’t easy. He’s hesitant, cautious, and who could blame him? Still, beneath the sadness, Jissie is reaching out as best he can, hoping someone will see him and give him a reason to trust again. He lived peacefully with other cats, but he probably hasn’t been around dogs or very young children — we simply don’t know. What we do know is that Jissie desperately needs a quiet, gentle home where he can begin to heal from the loss that’s left him so adrift. This isn’t how his story should end. Can you help us write his next chapter — one filled with love, warmth, and safety? Jissie has lost everything, but with you, he could have a forever again. Apply today: https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jissie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
