My story
Animal Profile: Oak is an estimated 3 month old male mixed breed puppy joining us from Hawaii on Thursday, 8/14/25. We believe Oak is a Hound mix and weighing about 12lbs right now. Oak is coming to the Seattle area to search for his forever home as the Hawaii County shelter is beyond packed and this allows him a second chance at life. We will share more about Oak as he settles in to his foster home. Foster Update: Stay tuned for details. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.
