My story

Pacing Manning (AKA Peyton Manning) is ready to call the next play, one that leads straight to his forever home! This adorable 5-month-old, ~35 lb Goldendoodle/Sheepadoodle mix was rescued with his three siblings after a breeder heartlessly abandoned them at a grooming facility in Santa Ana. Thankfully, the caring staff looked after them throughout July before they made their way to Shelter Hope. When Pacing first arrived, he was anxious and struggling with malnutrition, flea dermatitis, and worms. His skin was scabby and flaky, and in pretty rough shape. Since moving into a caring foster home, he's been recovering both physically and emotionally. He's been dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and is steadily building confidence as he discovers what it feels like to be safe and cherished. His skin continues to improve and looks healthier every day. Pacing is a sweet, sensitive pup who’s just starting to come out of his shell. He enjoys quiet companionship, gentle pets, and is beginning to explore the world around him with curiosity and courage. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’ll soon be running joyful routes through your backyard and snuggling up on the couch like a pro. Pacing Manning is looking for a calm, supportive home where he can continue to grow and trust. Are you ready to be the MVP in this puppy’s life? More from his foster: Peyton is the pleaser of the litter. He’s delicate right now as his skin heals but every day is showing more energy! —---- Looking to Adopt? Submit a Rescue Questionnaire! Please be thorough in your answers. Be Ready: If your application is selected, our rescue counselor will be in touch for a phone interview. Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation. Please Keep in Mind: Due to high demand, especially for popular dogs, not all applicants will be contacted. Moreover, we may not reach out if we have already approved a family to adopt. The process can take several days. Thank you for your patience!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pacing Manning, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
