My story

Meet Kit & Kai***FENCED YARD REQUIRED******BONED PAIR MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER***Kai & Kit – Bonded Buddies Ready for Their Forever HomeAbout ThemNames: Kai & KitBreed: Small mixed-breed (possibly Pomeranian/Border Collie)Sex: Neutered malesAge: Both estimated birthday: 5/6/2023Weight: Kit ~ 15 lbs; Kai is similarly sized (~ 14–16 lbs)Their StoryRescued together from a cruelty investigation, Kai & Kit arrived at FCAR malnourished and unwell. Through dedicated veterinary care, foster love, and each other’s constant support, both boys have blossomed into healthy, happy pups full of spirit.Personality & QuirksKai: Gentle and affectionate, Kai warms up in seconds to a kind voice and soft hands. He’s friendly with people of all ages and loves nothing more than snuggling close for reassurance.Kit: A true lap-dog at heart, Kit combines boundless puppy energy with an uncanny ability to settle into a cuddle session. He’ll chase a toy for ten minutes, then plop right into your arms for a nap.Bonded PairKai & Kit’s friendship is their greatest strength—they play, explore, and nap side by side. Because their bond helped them heal, they must be adopted together to keep them confident and content.Ideal HomeThey’re looking for a patient, loving family who understands that two heads (and hearts!) are better than one. A calm environment where they can continue building trust—and plenty of lap time—is perfect.Ready to Meet Them?If you have room in your heart and home for double the love, apply today: Adoption Application: https://www.fayettefcar.com/adoptTogether is how they healed—together is how they belong. Our goal is to find loving homes for all our rescued animals. Because we care about our rescues and their future, some animals have certain new family requirements before they can be released to their new home. Requirements for adoption could include the following:• Veterinary reference for previous pet owners (must be/have been current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention)• If no previous veterinary history, purchase of 3-month heartworm/flea/tick prevention• If renting, verification with landlord on acceptability of pets and any restrictions, pet deposit, etc.• Meet and greet with current pets to ensure compatibilityNote: We will call your current/previous veterinarian to verify that you have a history of providing vaccinations and heartworm prevention for your animal(s).If you are interested in adopting one of our pups, please complete our Online Adoption Application at http://www.fayettefcar.com/ready-to-adopt.For more information about this animal and other please visit our website at fayettefcar.com or contact us at 901/854-2565. If interested in submitting an adoption application please go to http://www.fayettefcar.com/#!animals-for-adoption/c1y5q.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kit, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
