My story

Lulu's foster mom refers to her as "Pretty Darn Near Perfect!" with an "incredibly friendly and sweet demeanor" and is well-behaved and easy to correct. Lulu's other superpowers: intelligence, quick-learner, snuggles, tug-o-war, fetch, dismembering squeaky toys and stuffies, burrowing in pillows and laundry, settling into quiet mode with good walk and a bit of calm music, going potty on a schedule, curiosity and confidence with new people and situations. Lulu walks pretty well on leash using a harness, is non-reactive to dogs and other animals and has a big personality with the cutest quirks. She sleeps through the night from about 10p-8a. Lulu is not a morning-person and loves to sleep in! She is still perfecting the skills of crate-training and going potty in the rain or wet grass. She will freely go in and out of a crate for treats or toys, but is not thrilled about being confined in it. She prefers older children who can read her body language and cues but has been around a toddler in her foster home. She can be a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly once the stranger-danger has subsided. Lulu's foster mom says she handles alone-time well with music, white noise, and a treat while mom sneaks out for errands. Out of Site seems to be Out of Mind! This little girl has dealt with some hard times and medical issues that were not treated until she came into rescue, but has recovered with flags flying. Est. DOB: Jan 2024 WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $590 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive.
