My story

Odie is a 14-year-old, 12-pound Poodle who has already endured so much in his life. We rescued him in April from a shelter in Dallas, where he came in severely matted, neglected, and in pain. His mats were so bad he had to be sedated just to be shaved down—people don’t always realize how much it hurts when a dog’s hair is pulling at their skin like that. Since coming into rescue, Odie has been neutered and received much-needed dental care. He only has five teeth left, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying his food! He is completely blind and may be a bit hard of hearing, but he doesn’t let that get him down. He likes to wander around and seems to be a happy little soul who just wants to be safe and comfortable. Odie is now looking for a foster or forever home where he can spend his golden years. He doesn’t ask for much—just a quiet place, a soft bed, and someone to love him.
