My story

Mia was rescue only from a Utah shelter. Shelter staff couldn't get close enough to her to even know if she was male or female. We knew exactly who to call, an amazing foster who lived close to the shelter. She sat outside Mia's kennel, earned her trust and then got her out for a walk!! Once out of the shelter Mia was a different girl, happy, sweet and she let our foster know she WAS NOT going back in the shelter, when she pulled her towards the car and started to get in! Mia has been in a home in CO and is adored by her family. But she's not fond of the Llamas, many Pyrs aren't! And has also developed a pretty good prey drive, so it maybe that farm life isn't quite ideal for her.  She is wonderful with the male Pyrs, and little chihuahuas, ignores cats and adores kiddos! She does need 6ft fencing, this older girl can still jump if she decides it's worth the energy! Mia would be a wonderful girl to add to a family! She's currently in CO. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 15, 2025, 8:59 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
