My story

Please click here to go to our emergency placement page for more information.Rylee is on the at risk list due to behavior concerns in care and noted in her previous home. Rylee in the care center has displayed hyperarousal in the care center, accompanied by leash biting during her behavior assessment. Rylee does have a bite history with another dog, and has bit and held onto another dogs ear breaking skin. Rylee was also recently returned after being adopted. She held and shook onto the resident dog's ear, which did not break skin. Rylee is also reported to be reactive on leash towards strangers and other dogs on walks. Medically, Mass and Pyoderma.What my friends at ACC say about me:I can go home today!I need a home where there are no other dogs.I need a home without cats or small animals.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.Not only do I pull at heart strings, but I also pull on leash! I will need someone to help me with my leash manners.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.Foster parent notes from 2022:Rylee is a cuddly love bug and has all the best qualities loyal, calm, and friendly. Rylee is vocal and will bark repeatedly when she knows she's about to go outside or fed a meal, but she is working on her manners and knowing when to be quiet and patient. She will also bark when a new guest arrives in the home, but her tail will be wagging and with lots of greeting and petting, she will resume being her regular sweet self. We've been calling it "the ceremony." She has greatly improved in not reacting to the front doorbell when a delivery is made.
