My story

Meet Gus – an 8-year-old Pekingese whose name fits him just right. This short, round, flat-faced little gentleman is as charming as they come, with a face made for snuggles and a personality to match. Gus has truly mastered the art of the waddle – his duck-like strut is equal parts adorable and heart-melting, especially when he waddles his way right into your lap (and your heart).Right now, Gus is sporting a shaved look due to some matting when he arrived, but don’t worry – his luxurious coat will grow back with time, and he’ll need regular grooming to keep it looking its best. He also has a heart murmur, and he takes gabapentin to help manage some back and neck pain, which is currently a long-term treatment for him. Neither of these slow him down from living his best snuggle life.Gus is happiest curled up beside you under a cozy blanket, soaking up the quiet comforts of home. If you're looking for a loyal, low-key companion who’s all about warmth, wags, and waddles, Gus is your guy.
