My story

MERLLYN IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Meet Merllyn! He is a 4 year old Cardigan Corgi mix. We are not sure what the other breed (or breeds) are in Merllyn’s DNA, but he is definitely a corgi, just a little supersized. Merllyn weighs 54lbs. He seeks to put order to chaos (a herding dog trait). Perfectly house trained, Merllyn is up to date on his shots and is heartworm negative. Merllyn has excellent recall within his foster home’s fenced large back yard. He loves to be petted and loved on, often seeking his foster mom for belly rubs. Merllyn is a talker. He will vocalize, which to an inexperienced dog owner may come across as growling, but his tail is wagging non-stop, and his body language is relaxed. Merllyn is very tuned into his person and can be protective of them in the presence of other dogs. This is why we are seeking an only dog home for this handsome guy. Merllyn walks well on lead, preferably with a harness. And he loves to go on car rides. You may have to help him jump in! Short leg syndrome. The best home for Merllyn will have a secure fence (not an invisible one). Merllyn can be dog selective, so he would shine in an only dog home. A quiet, low-key home would be ideal. Merllyn would not enjoy the chaos of a super busy, activity driven home with lots of coming and going. He is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Merllyn up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Merllyn here:  www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!
