My story

Meet Phantom! Phantom is a playful, friendly boy who loves making new friends—both human and canine! He has lived with male and female dogs in his previous home and was described as adoring of other dogs, with a fun, sometimes rough-and-tumble play style. At the shelter, he’s shown polite, friendly, and playful behaviors when meeting other dogs. A dog-to-dog meet is always recommended to ensure play styles are a good match.He also has a great history with kids, having lived with children ages 3 to 9 and been described as gentle, playful, and friendly. With his higher energy level and sometimes rough play, younger children should be supervised by a dog-savvy adult to make sure his enthusiasm isn’t overwhelming. During his assessment, Phantom loved playing with toys, leaning in for pets, and giving attention—though he may jump up or mouth hands with mild pressure when excited.Phantom is housetrained when kept on a consistent schedule, but in his previous home, he would sometimes chew inappropriate items like furniture or woodwork when left unattended. For his safety (and your belongings!), we recommend confining him when unsupervised—whether that’s in a dog-proofed room with safe toys and water or in a crate for short periods, as he does have a positive history with crate training.
