My story

Shoyu is a 3-year-old black medium-haired beauty with a personality as vibrant as his glossy coat. This fun-loving boy has plenty of energy and adores playing fetch, chasing his favorite wire toy, and watching “cat TV” (aka bird videos or the real thing through a window). He loves being near his humans—whether it’s hanging out in the same room or popping in to see what you’re up to. When the day winds down, Shoyu’s sweet side shines. He’ll happily cuddle with you all night and is always at the door to greet you when you come home, ready for pets and scratches. Shoyu does have mild, manageable cat asthma. He takes daily medication (or can be managed with as-needed medication for flare-ups) and even tolerates his inhaler well—he knows a treat is coming after! Due to changes in his living situation, Shoyu needs a new home where he can be the only pet. He would thrive in a quiet, loving household, and would be extra happy if you work from home so he can be your furry co-worker. If you’re looking for a playful yet affectionate companion who will keep you entertained by day and snuggle you by night, Shoyu is ready to meet you.  Rehoming fee is $50 and Shoyu is indoor only.  He lives with his owner in Beaverton.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 14, 2025, 5:33 pm
