MACADAMIA

My story

Macadamia came to Humane Colorado as a stray so we don't know her history but we do know she's been pretty timid and fearful of the strange smells and noises in her new environment. With patience and really, really yummy treats she's coming out of her shell and becoming more comfortable. On walks she likes to stick close by her person and isn't interested in the other dogs or people. She just wants gentle reassurance that everything is aok! She opens up more over the course of a stroll and is a good walker. Given her unknown background we recommend a quieter home with older children and patient owners who will go slow and let this sweet girl gain confidence on her own schedule. She may not look it but she's a delicate flower just waiting for the right conditions to grow and bloom!August 14, 2025, 7:02 pm
