My story

Meet Happy Pants! Happy Pants, affectionately referred to as “Happy,” is a sweet, slow-moving senior boy who is ready for his forever home! Happy is potty trained, dog-friendly, and walks well on a leash.  Happy would do best in a calm environment, as he is easily startled. He loves to nap the day away, and when he’s awake, he enjoys a short stroll around the block and a peanut butter-filled Kong.  Happy’s legs are a bit wobbly, and he is unable to jump up stairs, so his future family should be prepared to carry him when necessary. That said, one look at his cute little trot will make you realize why he’s called Happy Pants! Happy is missing teeth on one side of his mouth, which causes his tongue to hang out most of the time. This makes it challenging for him to eat foods that require lots of chomping and crunching. He will need a soft food diet (or kibble soaked in water/broth). He also loves boiled chicken and other soft meat treats as a snack!   Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, bordetella, and lepto. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.  To apply for Happy Pants, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies.
